V2 problem

i've installed the v2 intake today in my CL and i have a problem. My temperature gauge doesn't move at all. Can someone help me with this? There were wires that came with the intake but i'm not sure if splicing the wires of the temperature sensor is reallie necessary. I just plugged and play but nothing happened. Please help me.

did you have to splice any wiring? cause it said to do it and i'm wondering if that's what i'm required to do. Cause if not i'm just gonna leave it like that and try a different route

cause if you read the directions it gave you it says to splice the temperature sensor wire and plug in the female and male wires to the sensor and plug into the nipple. But i didn't cut any wire i just transfer the whole thing to the nipple instead of cutting anything
and use the nut they gave me and seal the coolant hole. The only time i see the gauge jumping is when i start the car and then the thing just stays cold and just little above the cold like two bars. Can this be because there's cold air blowing into it and not hot air which cause the sensor to read it as cold?

I never put the wires in and I've had my V2 since January 2004 and it's still in top notch and kicking. One thing I"m concerned about is the humming noise that it makes is it just me or does anybody else experience this with their CAI?

I have a V2 on my CL-S. I didnt have to cut or move anything on the motor. i had to cut 4 inches of the intake but thats it everything else fit. My temp gauge works fine and i havent had any check engine lights and its been on for a month now. Also the humming all of the cl's hum with an intake on emm v2 is quieter than other ones i have heard though.

I was under the impression that the V2 does not fit the Type-S model.
