What mode on the V1 are you guys using I just installed mine and in chicago I keep getting a bunch of false warnings on the highways. How do you know which signals to interpret as real or false warnings?

 

You won't know which are real and which are false...at least not right away. Only experience will "help".

Use the big L (full logic) mode.

 

I use the all "A" mode. I'd rather have falses, then no warning at all. I'll never trust a little computer to tell me what's a threat. I'll decide my self.

and big L filters out to a degree only...when the signal gets to a certain strength, it'll start beeping

 

I keep it on the “Big L” most of the time.
I only ever run on “A” when I drive for an extended time on the Interstates.

Actually in PA local cops aren’t allowed to use RADAR, only State Cops.
So most of the time mine is turned OFF unless I’m on the Highways.
Locals use VASCAR which can't be detected with anything but your EYES.
