sooo i bought a used underdrive crank pulley, and as it is used there are some slight dings / burrs on it.

do you guys thing it will affect anything? i dont want to turn this into a harmonic balancer debate so lets not go there. but do you guys thing the small amount of aluminum that was removed would affect anything?

im not talking about big chunks, there are just small areas of damage.

as long as there isn't a hunk missing that would throw off the weight on one side of the pulley you're good. as long as the belts go on it smoothly then you shouldn't have a problem

im having some trouble finding the gatorback belts.

the lengths seem to be a little different between what is recommended and what actually matches up with gates belts.

should i just ignore it, and just let the tensioner take care of the extra length / shortness?

 

Where are the dings and burrs? If it impedes onto the belt it could damage it.

 

for belt sizes if you cannot find the ones everyone says to get in gatorback... (like me) then you can go and order these.... they've been on my car for a good 30K now and no issues
