Used headers

What do I look for in used headers? They're just steel pipes right? So as long as the joints are still properly tig welded, it should be ok? Anything else I have to consider? Thanks!

Make sure there are NO scratches on the bottom!!!!! If someone had them on their car, and the car was SLAMMED, the bottoms might be all screwed up!!! A guy had a set over on the AV6 board, but the bottom was scratched so bad, it almost went all the way through!!!!

Also look out for dents. Dented areas will restrict air flow to a degree.

I would recommend that you don't buy anything off the boards... b/c you might get taken again by that people like derative.

Buy new... from shops or someone in the bay area... We have hookups so please talk with us first...

also make sure it doesn't cost $100 and it's not advertised as "Brand New"

I think the issue isn't so much "buying off the boards". There's good people to buy from, there's crappy assholes to buy from. Luck of the draw. I believe most ppl out there are honest, and it's only a small percentage that will screw with you. But what kind of price can you hook me up with? Best one I can find is $1000 shipped.

Funny... Would've been even funnier if that wasn't my money.
