URGENT: Help Installing OEM Nose Mask!!!

I can't figure out how to remove the two hood insulator clips from the underside of the hood in order to install the mask for the hood. These are the clips that need to be removed so the mask can be hooked into the holes.

Anybody have any suggestions how?

Please help ASAP!

I didn't have to remove any clips to get it to work.....of course I might not have installed it correctly, but it fits well and hasn't come off yet! I just hook one clip on the hole near the base of the hood and the other at about a 90 degree angle to the lip of metal where there is a cut-out in the sheet metal.

I can't seem to get the hood into the cutout....I'll try again.

Is there anyone else out there who has successfully removed those two pins?

Also, was the flap that goes into the corner near the headlight a pain in the ass to get on? It's a plastic flap that you slide into a cutout. Doesn't seem like it wants to stay, but maybe when I close my hood it will push it down.

I think I used a flat blad screwdriver, and just pried them out. It's been so long since I did it, that I can't exactly remember.

Okay guys, thanks for the help. I was finally able to pry the damn thing open and I have my nose mask on. Looks good to me and I hope it helps for now to keep the bugs and rocks from chipping my bumper while I consider getting the clear bra for the car.

I don't think the clearbra will look good on any other color other than white.

How can you say it won't look good, since it's almost an 'invisible' film?? Actually, white is the worse color for the 3M film. Some ultra white cars give the film a yellowish tint. If it's a pearl white, you may not have a problem. You just have to put a piece of film on and see the shade it produces. Black cars show every little imperfection, but when you get the film put on right it's undetectable. The 3M film on every other color car goes practically unseen, unless pointed out.

I do this for a living....I guess I should know.

Once again, someone making a statement on here without the facts to back it up.

Rips is right...I've seen his silver CLS w/ the clear bra on and you can't tell other than the one line where the clear bra ends. Very nice job...my nose mask will be a temporary solution for now.

Any recommendations for a clear bra install in NC; specifically near Raleigh?? Any other info on the clear bra would be helpful too. THX
