Hey guys, i've got 114k on my CL, and the front seat (if sitting in it) where your left calf muscle would be there is about an inch long tear, so I went to a pretty nice upholstery shop, and got some prices (for those who are interested). To repair the crack/tear seamlessly is about 220.00 not bad... but the guy threw the seat up on his computer, pretty bad ass program (autocad looking) and was throwing some ideas around.

The one that stuck in the most was leaving the middle portion black and doing all the outsides in red, the red that matches the lettering under the hood. Fronts alone he quoted me 950.00, front and rear & console cover 1850 + or - a little. Just getting your guys' input, and seeing how much you guys put into your interior. I plan on keeping this car forever (its paid off) hehehe

 

wow... there should be a recall for all the acura cl/tl seats with the left side being cracked lol. mine is the same, this dudes 02 tl is the same >_<

 

Really that's a waste of $. It's a well used car with a trans that may or may not go. A used car that may need $$ in repairs. The car is only worth about $7-$9K.
I would try to find some used seats on ebay or a junk yard. Any seats from 01-03 CLS will fit.
Also you can buy new leathers covers from a dealer parts website.

 

I got a tear in the same spot and had it replaced a few years ago by the dealer. They split the cost with me because the car was only 3 years old at the time. Now my new one has a slight tear in the same spot! Just going to put some glue on it and making sure it gets lots of leather conditioner.

 

WTF? I got a 1 inch tear in that same spot! I condition my seats regularly and still It ripped. Well at least I know i'm not the only one.

 

Mine's an 02 i have not 1 crack or tear in my Leather or a stain in my Carpets Crown Acura In Clearwater Says mine Should be on the Showroom Floor

 

If your gonna go aftermarket for some new skin check out www.nwautoleather.com their prices arent as steep as what you posted above and their quality is awesome...

We had a GP on one of the forums i was on and i beleive with the small amount of people we got our price was something like 500 bucks shipped for the two front seats...

However being as the CL is kind of rare, i would bet money they dont have a pattern to work on... so you might have to send them one of your own covers so they can put something together...

lastly, nothing gets to me more than a worn out or ripped seat... looks like ass
