Unorthodox Racing Flywheel

Is this old news? Was checking out some old performace parts websites and came across this. http://www.unorthodoxracing.com/Merc..._Code=clultraL

If that doesn't work, just go to unorthodox and look under flywheels.

if i had known about this i would have put it in, even though its technically not difficult to put in, just gotta pull the tranny out. id honestly be suprised if they had more than 1 in stock sitting there. only one way to find out... give them a call. they list it as 13.5 lbs, our stock flywheel cant be much more than that, i have one sitting in my parts shed.

Think they're like 8 or 10lbs, atleast that's what I recall reading in the past.

i'm guessing there would not be as much of a difference in flywheels as the crank pulleys. i bet Acura techs might give you some shit for having OEM parts during a transmission "repair/replacement".

Now that you guys mention the ur pully, that brings up a question. If you remember a few years ago, allmotor destroyed a couple pressure plates with the comptech flywheel. It was later discovered that he had also changed his front pulley to a ur. It might not be a good idea to replace both items as the motor needs some dampning. I have the comptech flywheel and stock pulley up front and have had no issues.

700.00 dollars for an aluminum flywheel isn't bad when comparing it to comptechs price of 1300.00

interesting point about the need for some dampening ThinJim. And for less then price of a comptech flywheel, one should be able to get the flywheel/clutch kit (if or when UR makes it)

Someone should contact Mike at UR about these products. I dealt with him before, but just too lazy to email someone right now
