you actually think we would let you get away with not running the new turbo setup at the strip? were you going to leave that up to Blue?

are you running the comptech tranz cooler on your car. i had mine put on after i blew out my trans from normal driving. the stock trans in the autos is a piece of shit. it said on there web site a must for the superchager so i thought good enough for me. i plan on building it to the hilt with all ican find. im looking for some one to build a custom turbo manifold right now.

The problem with the transmission is not cooling. It is getting efficient amounts of liquid to the clutch packs, especially 2nd and 3rd gear. While the trans-cooler can't hurt, it really won't help in solving our factory defect at all. Good luck running a turbo through the automatic transmission though. That could get nasty.

No test runs as of yet, but I'll be trying the tranny at the track with the carbon graphite clutches after the intercooleer is installed. It maybe another 2-4 weeks.

It wouldn't hurt and give a margin of safety.

i broke my previous record today, twice.

new best time - 13.25 @ 105.73

i did this despite extreme air and track temperatures, and with a slower 60'.

prev. best--------new best
60'... 2.084--------2.14
330...5.655---------5.662
1/8...8.603--------8.600
MPH...83.37-------84.01
1000...11.151-----11.134
1/4...13.289-------13.257
MPH...105.34------105.73

it was ~ 88 degrees air temp and WELL over 100 degrees on the tarmac. much hotter than the last time out.

the fact that i was able to run quicker despite the conditions and slower 60' shows my car is making more power.

if i had been able to put down another 2.0 60' i could have run a 13.0 today.

what did the s2k and sti run? btw you should start a new thread so more people see this.

btw fast, are you running a 200shot now or just get the fuel issues straightned out?

Brians S2K was throwing a CEL, so he decided not to run it. Mike had just removed the Xede piggyback controller off his STi and was waiting for new software from EcuTek to reflash his stock ECU. there was another modded STi there that was running about the same as me, maybe a hair quicker.

other cars of interest -

SRT-4, still had dealer plates, bone stock except for a $2 wastegate spring mod, ran 13.6 @ 101.

350Z, pop-charger intake, crawford plenum, cat back, slicks, removed pasenger seat and stripped trunk, running 13.1 @ 103.

Supra running 11.11 @ 138, rust colored smoke spewing out of the exhaust on every shift.

R33 skyline running low 12's with just intake exhaust and boost controller.

Damn those SRT-4 were damn fast!! That modded black on was running 12's wasn't he?

That supra is from torquefreaks guys. Nice car, but I know some history behind it. Lets just say that the actual tuner of that supra is now working for the guys who installed my aftercooler. Appreantly there was a fall out, between them, and now that supre is not as fine tuned as it was before.

R33. that thing was BADASS. Getting own by that is nothing to feel bad about. Plus that guys was running consistent all day long, you would have to hit your dial time exactly to beat that guy.

Nice runs Matt, it was fun. Although I got a damn sun burn too.

Congratulations Matt!!! Very nice runs, time for some DR's though. I have to go back to the track soon to see if I can catch up to you I have not been since I installed the bottle heater, purge and fuel pump. I am curious to see what I will run.

BTW: Where's the VID?
