uni-chip not doing its job?

Where to begin....? As most of you know i have had the max boost pulley and tuned it with methanol and a uni-chip instead of intercooler and e-managment. Today for the first time i ran without methanol and naturally the boost only goes to 7 lbs to avoid pinging. The odd thing in this situation is that the car responded better, and was faster, ETC... at lower boost without methanol than at 10 lbs of boost with methanol. This is my theory. with the methanol being injected, the unichip is able but not effectively tune the pulse width. ETC..... So when the methanol is being injected the reaction of the car is to feel sluggish as if it were running very RICH. Then if i gun it, it will run smoother. So ultimetely it feels to rich with the methanol becasue the uni-chip didnt do the job in tuning it correctely. I remember someone saying this would happen and now i am begining to realize it. I know my option is to change to the greddy chip becasue it will allow me to tune the car better. Is this correct and does this all sound right to you guys? Another question is, what will; does the e-manage do that the unichip doesnt? I know it ables a better tune but what is it that makes it better? Also, should i get bigger injectors? I want to set my car up and tune it as best as possible for max power and efficiency. Thank to all that reply.

Your car is a freak. Radically different from the normal CL mod book. I don't think anyone knows what would be best for it for a tune.
Bigger injectors are always a good thing when running that much power & those mods.
Did you talk to some pro tuning guys? What about the guys that did the work?

the guys that did my work insist that the unichip did its job however when i was in that process many people from the forum insisted that the e-manage would do me better. i think they did a good job tuning it, especially with the limited capability of the uni-chip. the way they tuned it was basically adding the methanol as a suplimental fuel to even it all out and they used the uni-chip to do so. I feel as if the car can be tuned better, there is always way much smoke coming out even at 1/2 throttle. with the way they tuned it, i feel that the methanol is making it run to rich. I think that with bigger injectors and and e-manage it will allow a better tune and more linear power and crisper response time. agreed?? What is the best E-manage to get? btw, Thanks fuzzy

methenal is a whole different monster, what size injectors are you using.... using the methanal and using around 10 lbs may be 2 much.... just a theory, and i may be wronge, but you say that not using methanal and at 7lbs your car is running better.. soo i say your ca is flooding itself with the methanal,

I have some friends who own ther own shop, and has inventedthere own tuning program, very good with the honda/acura world/ boost cars

828 433 4545, Blueridge Motorsports, ask for mike and tell them Josh Cushing told you to call... you wont be dissapointed
