under warrantiy..??

Just the other day, i parked on the steets to go have lunch. When i came back, my rear bumper had a dent in it. A straight line right across the middle of the bumper. I was thinking about going to the insurance, but i didnt want to pay a deductable. And, under warranty, if i were to go to the acura dealship, is it possible for me to get a new bumper?

thanks

I guess a nice car (Acura) doesn't buy you common sense? J/K

Warranty will only cover "defects" in workmanship or materials. Your bumper was damaged by another person, which is not Acura's fault, and not covered under warranty.

Being in manufacturing, I tend to tell people "If it is not the fault of the manufacturer, then it's not covered".

Bring it back to the dealer and tell them it must have happened before delivery and you just noticed it. What they say should be funny.

i friend of mine too a 2000 dakota offroading with 99 miles on it. He scratched the length of the truck with a tree branch. When we were done we cleaned it up and took it to the dealer ship, the buffed out all of the scratches and appologized for what ever caused the scratches.
