ugh just scheduled an appointment to get my tranny fixed and their telling me they dont have loaners for me to drive, wtf am i suppose to do for half a week..the best acura dealer i think in new york cant loan me a friggn car? (raylle acura)

 

WTF!? Throw a fit and or call Acura care.

 

When I got my tranny replaced they had loaners but made me get a car from enterprise that they paid for. Total BS.

 

My car is currently waiting to be picked up from the dealership from a tranny replacement. They gave me a 05 TSX for a loaner. I've had it for about a week!! Your Stealership sucks!! I would definately tell them something

 

Damn! I went to worst ACURA dealer in NY(paragon) and got a rental when my tranny was being fixed. I would BITCH-BITCH-BITCH!

 

you're lucky your eligible for a loaner. I'm 19, can't even get a rental.

 

you can get a rental as long as your over 18. i have been getting them ever since i was 19. if you do not make an appt., you might not get one. But call in advance and let them know you need a car, and they will have to give it to you.
Since you are having tranny problems, tell them to give you an enterprise or other rental car company loaner. Dont let them get away with it!

 

Thats strange. I just dropped of my CL to be detailed and Wet sanded and they gave me an RSX Base loaner. I'm going their tomorrow to pick it up.

 

The fact that you are 18 most likely has something to do with it. Most dealerships don't give out loaners to customers under the age of 21 and for good reason IMO.

 

 

I've also been denied one for being under 25, but my last service they gave me one for a couple days. I assume this could be related to the money they made on my service.

 

I definately think it is the age issue.

you can get a loaner fine if you're over 18.

When I got my tranny replaced last summer, I was utterly amazed. Seriously. They handed me, an 18 year old kid keys to a brand new TSX. I just stood there and was like ... so what's the mile limit cap on this? Basically, the guy just said to me: "just fill it up to where it was."

Same here. Execpt I had to pay for most of my rental. It wasn't even that great of a rental. I was lucky they gave me a car with power windows.

I get really bad Acura Service. Every time I take my car there, I have to take it back 'cause the fuck up something else and then have the nerve to tell me it's "old age".. WTF! The car is 4 1/2 years old! Assholes!

just dropped off today and got 05' TL

 

Lehigh Valley Acura's been giving me TSX loaners whenever i get service....at one point they gave it to me right after my 17th birthday.

I dont think my dealer has TL's to give away..otherwise id've had my dad drop off the car for service.

 

I never got any loaner car in bay area acura dealers...Always..always give me POS rental car!

 

btw, this was open road acura in wayne, nj, but i know bridgewater and springfield acura give acura's as loaners too.

i even saw a 05 rl with the courtesy car stickers on it but, they said you had to own a rl to get an rl, but am pretty happy with the 05 tl myself, was just being a little greedy
