Type-S parts in a CL-P?

I was looking around in the Accord v6 forums and read about them putting type s cams, intake manifolds, and throttle bodies in them. Does the same mods do any justice for the CL-P?

If you put all that craps in (parts & Labor), it would cost more than buying the Type S to begin with...so why bother? Remember, buying a type s, you get more than just the engine..you get suspension, VSA, etc...and on the manual model, you get LSD as well.

The part I want to swap in my CL-P is the type S gauge cluster. Does any one know if this can be done?? Or are there nice aftermarket gauge clusters for the CL??

the aftermarket gauges for the CL/TL look cheesy and cheap as all hell, your best bet would be to find a wreck CL-S and get its gauge cluster, or on ebay, ive seen it there, its probably a pretty expensive part but the aftermarket ones DO NOT compare..the font of the numbers, text, etc is cheesy and its cheap material.

Assuming you can get one, they will run you:

$21.69 - Speedo assembly
$24.05 - Tach
$37.31 - Fuel/Temp

If you buy it from the dealer, you'll have to find a VIN# from another TypeS. They won't sell you the gauges without it.

I wouldn't bother because it would be too expensive. Why don't you put in headers and an Icebox that supposedly is coming soon?
