Awesome bro, can't wait to see the results. FYI, the first Turbo Altima is finishing up right now too (and what do you know? He's in California too! Albeit, Southern California):

If you do some of the leg-work yourself and know some of the right places to do certain things, its not that bad - either way, a kit like this does cost a bit.

We are in SoCal as well. Altima looks good - rather 'busy' looking piping though; remember that the exhaust-side is pressurized as well, so a good manifold design is critical.

AHHHHHH MAN!! I was hoping it was going to be a secret for a bit longer. DAMN! I would of liked it better if you surprised some guy on the street. Oh well. Maybe now that you two are done, bluecl6 can help me out with my car. Maybe I can check out your car when I come down to visit him in the next month or so.
I want my revenge!!

Well, almost done at least. I know you two still have things left. Hopefully, when I have some money saved up, I can get a few goodies of my own and at least, give him a run for his money.

good turbo choice...that thing will be awesome. I'm using a GT29R right now and I love it. I'm probably going to go to a GT28RS "disco potato" at some point. About as big as I want to go with a 1.8 liter. Garret GT is the way to go. Is the GT35 a twin scroll? One thing I don't get is the BOV? It's cheaper to get a bypass valve. And unless you can tune for it in emanage, won't you run a little rich from venting your metered air? Can you tune for it in emanage? It just seems like you sacrifice the best performance for that sound....which an intake will give you anyway with a bypass valve. And you lose that precious air when you could recirc it. Even the real hardcore DSM guys I've talked to use a BPV.

My suggestion if water injection...why not put in another couple hundred and add the safety of WI.

Also, what are you doing for boost control? Wastegate spring tension? An EBC is nice. I love my Greddy profec B first gen. I figure you can get away with some more boost with race fuel, so boost control from the cabin is always nice.

Yes, the turbo really is the crux of the setup - I underestimated the importance of sizing the turbo on my last venture in this terrority - there is a lot of power to be gained at modest boost levels.

The BOV - well, we arn't really looking to extract every ounce of potential - its also the 'cool' factor to an extent; a CL-S with a *psffft* turns heads!

Right now, its just the wastegate spring for boost-control - eventually (depends on how everything works out), we will get some type of boost controller - fuzzy logic ones by Greddy have some great features!!

Thanks for the input.

Absofukenlutly!!!! Man this has really got my attention...I would love to have something like this!! So really tho...with a set up like this could you still run the CL to over 100k miles...or does it mess up the engine over time. I am a FI noob!

Will you take credit cards

I'll take a guess based on what I know. I would say 12 - 15 hours should be alloted.

With 6.5psi and the E-Manage, I don't see any problems whatsoever! I could see CV boots, brakes and other misc stuff going bad earlier, but not the motor itself!

Scalbert is about right - in our case, we will be doing portions here and there. The fuel/E-Manage stuff will be done beforehand. I have already wired in all the sensors/gauge wiring (although I am waiting for the guage-pod).

The last time, when I took the turbocharger off and put the car back to stock, it took 8hrs - so figure 10-12hrs the other way around.

Yeah I know things like the clutch would not hold up but I plan to upgrad to the CT unit when the stock goes and once the brakes go I will upgrad to some x drilled or slotted brakes. My main worrie was the motor and the tranny.

So what about the CC's will that be an option?

I don't think we will build kits to sell! Although I could make you the manifold and you can do the rest...

Yeah the manifold (and IC piping) is the hard part... everything else is basically off the shelf parts.

Ahhhhhhh ok I thought you guys were doing this to sell

Well I may in the future get you to get me the manifold and then I will go from there.

Good luck and take LOTS OF VIDs this time

Tuning is the key... that you can't 'sell' unless its a pretty expensive kit!
