I would like to have either one, but down the road they seem to only be problematic. I've had many friends buy Turbo and such for their cars, and nothing but issues.....and for the $$$$ talk about a small HP gain.

depends on how much you are looking to pay ...supercharger is about $4000 vs anywhere from 7-9k for the turbo setup ......its obvious that the turbo has more potential but its just in the sense of what you want. I went the turbo route to be different.
Always remember you have to pay to play

If you use the right parts and design the kit well, there shouldn't be any problems at all. Just need to spend the time to do the research, use quality parts, and get good advice. A lot of work and time went into making mine and I haven't had any problems with it.

The Turbo will give you more power... Plus I hear turbo's work better as daily drivers. If I had a 6speed I'd deffinately go with a Turbo. You will stick out more plus more power

I would go with the Comptech Supercharger for the reliability and HP gain. The turbo route is costly, creates more HP, but hasnt been proven in long terms of how reliable it is on a CL......I think

My CL TypeS: If you want a bolt up system go with the SC, but if you are looking for the most gains try to duplicate allmotors setup. Im sure I saw a thread where he stated all the parts needed for the setup

Guys... go turbo. For the price you pay for the Comptech kit you are already well on your way to the turbo set up.
$3800+ for the S/C
$1000 for headers
$100 for the battery
$75 for the high boost pulley
Once you add in all the extras you are at $5,000 before the install for the supercharger with headers. And even then you are only around 300-330whp with the high boost pulley.
Spend an extra $1,000 or so and you've got 100+ more WHP over the supercharger.
With both setups you'll need gauges, gauge pod, etc. So add in at least another $500 for quality parts there on both set ups.

I would love to go with the turbo setup but I don't know any tuners around my area who can do a good job.....plus I don't know how reliable it is...most of the time people always tell me to go with the S/C setup route

Check with Serge(02av6)...I heard the shop he goes too is pretty good. Don't know if they do custom setups though.
