TSB #01017 only cover front brake and rotor?

Does TSB #01017 also cover rear brake the rotor? On my 30K service dealer replaced front brake and rotor under warranty. But charged me about $300 for rear brake and resurfacing rotor. I feel it is kind of expensive. Well, anyway it has been charged.

The question is I have seen that people mentioned that both front and rear brake and rotor are covered. Is that ture. I just read through that TSB, the reason it mentioned is for front brake. Does that mean only front brake is covered?

Thanks a lot!

My dealer resurfaced both front and rear rotors and gave me new pads... covered under warranty. Don't know about the TSB.

Also $300 sounds like a LOT of money for a resurface.... hell, brand new rotors for our car are only like $50 a peice from www.tirerack.com.

Thanks a lot for the reply. The concern is that only front brake and rotor is mentioned in that TSB and I have paid already. What do you think of the chance that I could ask for a refund?

beestea, sdho,

I'd appreciate it if you could tell me which dealership you went. So I may make a call and deal with my dealer based on it.

Again, thanks a lot!

The bulletin was amended recently to include rear brake work but only if there was a vibration issue not corrected after repairing the front .

I went to Serramonte Dealership in Colma, CA. You can talk to Mike or Henry from the Service Dept.

I complain every 10k miles

I am now on 3rd repair. This time they replaced the rotors (front, since they couldn't turn a third time they replaced)and all 4 pads new) and only put 750 miles on the car since early september

I'd highly appreciate it if someone can give me some suggestions of how to talk to dealer to get the refund.

Or maybe in your mind it is better that just don't bother to try to get that refund?

Thanks a lot!
