trying to mod the grill .. problem :(

I feel so mechanically challenged .. I was trying to upgrade my grill and finally gave up. I couldnt get the top left and top right most bolts off the nut, bolt, and screw kept turning together and there isnt enough room to squeeze some tool in to hold the screw while i twist off the bolt ideas

Maybe buy some pliers where the end of the pliers are L-shaped so they can reach in there?

Hey, hey I am back took a little break from the boards. Company went under laid off and with all this mod talk it made me mad that I had to stop impulse buying. Anyways new Job means mods to come.

Anyways to get to the point, I to had this problem. 2 of them where actually just twisting away. Turns out that as they twist they still slowly come out. It is like this, there is a screw that goes into the plastic and then a nut that screws into that screw to hold it to the hood. If you keep twisting the screws that screw into the plastic will eventualy come undone from the plastic. Meaning you can take the grill off.

Might sound a little confusing but trust me the same happened to me. I finally got it out and the grill came out fine. The bad thing is that now the bolt and nut in the center top just spins. It is not because it is a screw/bolt but because it is molded into the plastic. My suggestion is not to use the bolt on that one as you might fall into the same problem that I have now. If I need to replace the screen I will have to cut that bolt out with a dremel.
