3.2CL Wheel Compatibility
Mar. 9, 2000
Do not attempt under any circumstances to install the Type-S wheels/tires on the 3.2CL non Type-S model. Under certain conditions, the larger diameter wheels will interfere with the chassis/body, resulting in wheel and/or body damage.
The Type-S is fitted with a different power steering gearbox that limits the rack travel. The Type-S also utilizes a different front engine beam, beam attachment flange bolts (12mm x 30mm), and radius rods for increased durability.

well i put on the cl-s wheels on my 2000 honda accord and i think the ride quality improved.
i think this is total BS. This is like saying DO NOT PUT ON ANY AFTERMARKET WHEELS. So i guess putting on 18s will be even more dangerous and 19's would be considered suicide...

Be careful
I'm not sure about that, guys. I remember seeing that the CL-S had a different (larger) turning radius than the CL-P, and didn't know why.
That would indicate that they might not allow the CL-S to turn as sharply as the CL-P, allowing for the wider wheels.
Just a thought.

I doubt there would be any issues.
If indeed the CLS has a wider turning radius then the worst case would be that you might rub when the steering of CLP is turned all the way. If that's the case then just avoid doing that and sacrifice a bit of turning radius.
But like I said, I highly doubt there would be any issues.
