Tree scanning highbeams

Okay, I "thought" I saw a post which addressed this, but can't find it in a SEARCH. During a recent Pocono Mountain trip, I noticed my highbeams actually scan UP, as in hitting the tree tops immediately ahead of the car!

In my normal driving enviroment I rarely get to switch the highbeams on. In the mountains, I used them 70% of my night driving. Now I wonder if they are screwed up or do ALL CL's scan for UFO's as we wheel forward into the night.

The function seems to be normal directly ahead of the car - just NEVER had any car shoot a beam (almost) straight up!

It’s normal.
2001’s and 2002’s do that.
2003’s don’t because of the blacked out design.

It's been in the FAQ for a long time.

Search under 'Alien Search Light'.
