Transmission drain plug

what size is the plug? 1/2"? I've forgotten and want to make sure I get the right one before I start.

I think you're right, but I've never done it myself. Where's dustbuster when you need him?

It uses a 3/8 square drive head. Just use a 3/8 drive extension and it should fit right in the plug.

yeah...a regular 3/8" ratchet will fit right inside w/o any socket or extension. The oil drain bolt is a 17mm.
