transmission backorder...
transmission backorder...
dammit... so i go to the dealer today and check up on my car (i miss it so much) and i ask the guy about the backorder. still no word yet and still nothing to even estimate when the transmissions will be coming in. this shit is really starting to piss me off considering my car has been there for over a month now.
for the other members that have had to bring in their cars for transmissions... how long did it take for them to fix it? or for those whos cars are still at the dealership... how long have you been waiting so far and have they told you when to expect the new trannies to come in? i'm just really getting annoyed of my loaner and i want my cl-s back!!!

In Fla. if the car cannot be repaired in 30 days u can file for a Lemon Law lawsuit.
Sound to me like someone (including myself also, as of yeasterday DOA) is getting a new CLS :P .

Doesnt the lemon law say if your car is in the shopr for more than 30 days, the dealer has to buy the car back? Or was that 90 days?

"(3) The vehicle is out of service by reason of repair of nonconformities by the manufacturer or its agents for a cumulative total of more than 30 calendar days since delivery of the vehicle to the buyer. The 30-day limit shall be extended only if repairs cannot be performed due to conditions beyond the control of the manufacturer or its agents. The buyer shall be required to directly notify the manufacturer pursuant to paragraphs (1) and (2) only if the manufacturer has clearly and conspicuously disclosed to the buyer, with the warranty or the owner's manual, the provisions of this section and that of subdivision (d) of Section 1793.2, including the requirement that the buyer must notify the manufacturer directly pursuant to paragraphs (1) and (2). The notification, if required, shall be sent to the address, if any, specified clearly and conspicuously by the manufacturer in the warranty or owner's manual. This presumption shall be a rebuttable presumption affecting the burden of proof, and it may be asserted by the buyer in any civil action, including an action in small claims court, or other formal or informal proceeding.

I have no idea when my new transmission will be in , but it has been sitting at the dealer since October 10. The worst part is explaining to people where my car is. When I tell them my car is in the shop because it needs a new transmission, everyone's response is "Get a new car, you're an attorney, you can afford it." Then I reply, it is a new car.
