Trans slips from 2-3 at 18kmiles

Ok,i know that you guys have talked over and over about replacing transmissions.I just never read them because mine was working fine. Now,it seems to search for gears, and slips at the second to third shift. What i want to know is ,is this an electronic problem or a mechanical problem.I do not think it will be a problem at the dealer, I just want a little understanding of it before i go to the dealer.Back in August I asked if they(Acura of Memphis)had replaced any(because of the threads I read here about swapping trannies) and the guy said he hadn't heard of any troubles for the transmission.BY the way this is a CLS.Thanks for your replies.
