Tranny went in the CL...
Well, like the title says the tranny went last night. Started slipping really bad, so it's now sitting in my driveway. I have no money or means to fix it, so we'll see what happens with it this week.

Thanks, I'm really enjoying it. it just seems as though life happens at the worst possible times. Keeping my fingers crossed Acura will help out a little.

I feel your pain. Mine just died a month ago and I just got it back from AAMCO. Acura wanted $5,900 to replace the tranny and computer and there wasn't anything wrong with the computer. They say that the computer has to be programmed to match the tranny...sounds like BS to me.
Good luck.

I would not take it to AAMCO.
I knew a kid that his dad owned 2 AAMCO's aqnd he told me NOT to take it to AAMCO.. They say lifetime warrenty BUT wait till; something goes wrong and it is actully time to fix it. Go on the ARTA website and find a rebuilder on there near you.. WHen mine went the last time I called like 10 people and got prices from 2800-4000 and picked a guy that charged me 3200 but he seemed to know what he was talking about.

I know how you feel, OP. Seems like these kinds of things happen at exactly the moment when you least want something to go wrong. Anyways, hope things work their way out.

All worries are gone for the most part. My grandmother is going to spot me the money upfront to get it fixed and I will pay her $x every month until it is paid off. I think my friend's shop is going to do it for around $2,100 give or take some. I'm looking forward to getting it back on the road.
What type of maintenance did you do with changing your tranny fluid. Did you do 3x3 and how often?

No idea, I'm just doing a rebuild for now.
I think the previous owner did it at 65,000. It just rolled over 100k and I was waiting for my paycheck this week to get it redone then it went out.

Yup, she's going to put up the money so I can get it fixed, then I'll pay her back monthly!
Thanks, Phee is also helping me with a lot of this. Hopefully I can get the never tranny and be finished with this problem!
