any paint issues with clear bra?

Has anyone had any paint issues with getting aftermarket paint job and putting paint protection kit on it. I dropped my car off at a shop to do this and they called back saying that they dont really want to do it with aftermarket paint work. They said there is a good chance the film will rip the paint off. Has anyone ever had paint rip off? I know they are saying this to cover their ass but should I be this worried about it. it is bugging me since I put over 3k in the paint job. Gonna have to keep my fingers crossed

How old is the paint? Has it had enough time to gas out?

Check out the Wash and Wax forum, a lot of professional detailers in there that can give you good answers and insight.

I don't have a clear bra, but it does sound kind of questionable that it would be a problem.

One thing you can do is check with the shop/person that painted your car. They may be able to give you better insight if the paint would hold up with a clear bra.

Here are some pics with 35% tint all around and 3m paint protection kit covers whole front bumper, part of fender, part of hood, mirrors, and behind the rear wheels on the bumper.
