Angry Tranny fails at 50K

Today I was headin to work and my auto CLS gave out on me. At first I thought it was just slipping from 2nd to 3rd but it got worse and my check engine light came on. Acura certifies there trannies for up to 100 K correct?

Yeah. Just take it in to your local Acura dealership, and they should take care of you no problem. Same thing happened to me at around the same amount of miles.

For the record, I'd check the Tranny Recall subforum first before posting a thread about the tranny.

Yea, I talked to the Acura dealership here in NC and they said that my vehicle is covered and to bring it on down NO PROBLEM! So tomorrow I am going on the trip to Cary to drop the car off at the dealership, since it is still driveable. Wish me luck I make it there New tranny on the way!!!!!!

Got my new transmission in today and the dealer told me I had a bad motor mount in the front and I need to replace it. More money forked out this year to the CLS.

Those should also have been covered. They did all mine. Tell them the most likely cause of the motor mount getting messed up was when the tranny VIOLENTLY down shifted from 5th to 2nd at 65 mph.

I might try that but chances are that it is a lost cause. I can only hope for the best.
