Track Times...They Suck...But I saw...
Went to the Ohio Valley Dragway last night. It's only an 1/8th mile track, but it's still fun to go. I went with my buddy who has a 2004 Mustang GT with a few mods. He ran 9.07's and I ran 9.6's (I need new tires).
Anyways, Ohio Valley is just outside of Ft. Knox and Louisville, KY. So, you see a lot of muscle cars and Mustangs and occasionally a corvette. Never do you see anything more. Not the case last night. A Ford GT , Porche(not sure model), and a Maybach show up. Yes, I said Maybach. First I thought some rich dude wanted to race his Porsche and GT , and he was brought to the track in his Maybach. NO... He ran all three! He was about 85-90 yrs old and did not know how to drive. He ran a 9 something in the porsche and a 10something in the Maybach. The Maybach has like 600HP by the way. He had someone else drive the GT though, but they didn't know what they were doing either. Thier first run in the GT was like and 8.5 and the second was a 10 . It was cool as hell seeing these cars, but very dissapointing watching them be abused like that.
Just thought I would share my experience. I'll work on my times tho and mods if I can lay of the alcohol and start saving some money.

Ravin - I use to live in Germany, so I would see all sorts of rarities. But, never in a million years would I have thought I would even just see a Maybach in KY period.
TypeR - I ran a 9.5 when I first bought the car, so I know I can do better. But since I've put almost 40k miles on my car since then and the tires are crap, I expected to not do so well. It was also my first time this summer, so I was nervous and wasn't doing anything right. Thanks for support tho.
