Track Day: Too Bad Conditions Weren't Optimal...
I'm not going to post all of my times like I usually do. I was pretty consistant today. Ran a bunch of 14.1s
My quickest run (although not by much) was actually my first.
I had a 2.094 60' (new personal best)
14.103 @99.38
I trapped at 100.xx two or three times as well.
It was about 73 degrees. I'm gonna need 65 degrees or lower to beat that time.

amazing 60' mrsteve. you really have that shit down. i think my tires may be too wasted to pull off a 60' that good, they're really bad. i won't be heading to the track until later in the month. i've been super busy lately studying for my real estate brokers license, so the car and the strip haven't really been a priority.
i have an appointment w/ Tony at unichip a week from this monday to get a couple things tweaked on my maps, then i'll be ready to hit the strip.
and Smitty, you better get to the track soon while you can still back up those words. i know you are getting the IC soon, but steve is getting s/c soon plus i doubt it will be long before his rich ass has an IC as well.
and when that happens my $$ is on him.

Oh and matt my tires have 40k on them. The Conti's have really held up well. I had a little slip on that 2.0 60' but no hop. As long as I don't hop I think I could have pulled off a 2.0 again, but I either didn't launch hard enough to get below a 2.1 or launched too hard and got a 2.1 with hop. Seems like that one time I found the perfect medium between the two and I got a 2.0

Steve, Ben got back to me and said he kept the stock plugs in. He said the copper plugs were better for the S/C application What counterargument should I use? Still not happy with the 14.23@99.09 w/ a 2.12 60' using the S/C.

The colder plugs are needed because of the added heat from the blower... time to pull your charger and replace them with the right plugs... if you do not you run the risk of melting the plugs to the inside of the cylinder head, they snap off when you try to remove them....... then they need to be drilled out... get that taken care of ASAP.... in the meatime do not beat on the car!!!

Tell him exactly what Carl just said. The plugs are included with the kit for a reason. And your car got consistantly slower at the track, until you let it cool off and it ran 3 MPH faster (96 to 99). The heat within the cyclinder head is killing you and I suspect the ECU is playing games with timing too because of it.
