How much do you think it would cost to repaint a car? I know some people have custom paint jobs and was curious what people paid for that as well as what a "factory" paint job would cost.

In the three years of ownership my car has taken a slight beating and if I decide to keep it for the long term I may want to repaint it. Both bumpers are scratched, hood is chipped to high hell, some water marks but not too bad, swirl marks, and a few slight scratches here and there. If I decide to keep it then I'll probably look to lower it and repaint it. replies are appreciated.

The other option is selling it while the car still has decent value and saving up for something else.

 

i would just try and get a professional detail to remove the swirl marks and water spots and any other blemishes the paint may have, then repaint the bumpers and hood and save some money.

Even doing the same color would still cost you. The supplies alone are 700-800 bucks. I like niz" idea. shouldn't be more than a few hundred to redo the bumpers and hood. Or maybe go CF hood and not worry about scratches.

 

Nevermind...I need a new front bumper, side quarter panels, hood, and HEADLIGHTS!

 

if you changed the color it would cost some big $$ (2500-5K).. since they would have to repaint the engine compartment, inside the door jams and trunk.... ... spraying the car is easy, it is the prep work & labor that will kill you..
