That could be the greatest price in the history of tires-$74.00.
I have them at $89.00 and am thrilled with their performancce in all areas compared to the stock michs.

Great find.

Would any of you guys buy them if you don't need them yet. If so where and how would you store them?

I want them but my stock tires are almost like new. What would guys do?

hot damn.... now if only I had a place to put them, I'd buy them right now and store them until my stock ones were ready to die.

This was exactly what I planned on getting too.

Yep yep, great find and thanks

Attn:.. K-dawg brought it to my attention that a guy was having balancing problems with the 235/45/17... So buyer beware, He can't post from work but you will hear from him later tonight..

Thanks again 6Speedfreak.. I picked up (4) HTR 215/50/17 at $331.30 shipped to my door.... Great find, great tire, great people to buy off of... Larry (EXT:221) hooked me up once again...

waddup...after smitty called me at work to notify of this post I hoped on to read (through megaproxy.com) noticed a lot of you folks were looking at 235/45/17 tire size.

Read mattrush78's comment on this thread: http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...92#post1232392

apparently he's having some balancing problems, which I was aware of when I ordered mine back in Januaray. That's why I got the 215/50/17 to play it safe...

so far I'm a very very very satisfied customer. Night and Day difference from the POS Miches...

yeah, but it still seems that this is a somewhat isolated incident - would like to hear from more peeps who have bought the HTR+ 235/45/17's to see if it there is a problem with balance or not when used on stock rims. From what I've read, I think I've seen 2 balance issues only.

Just spoke to Clay and he said they were $104 (I seem to remember somewhere around $102-$106 but am not certain). I also asked how long these would be on sale at this price, and he said he had no real idea (price could change tomorrow, could stay for a couple of months)

Yeah I just dont get how the stock michelins are $170 each. We just had a total washout of a rainstorm pull out of here in NYC and my God these tires stuck really nice in the rain. I was trying to cut them lose but they just wouldnt slip...well once...but that was actually a launch attempt.

I think I paid $106 each for the 235/45-17 HTR+ about two or three months ago.

No problems with the tires at all (I'm not on the stock wheels). Love them. Don't be fooled by the price - this is a high quality tire, not a cheap knock-off.

I pay 15 per tire, but they Guarentee not to scratch my rim or they replace it at their cost.. That is for 17 inch... I pay 20 per 18inch.. The place I use has a 50K machine and I get to watch it in action...

Anyone have experience with Continental ContiExtremeContact?
Tirerack's review looks great and 215/50/17 is $86 a piece. I am wondering how is it compared to HTR+

I've seen one report on them in the TL forum so far ... not enough have tried them out to see if Tirerack's review is accurate.

Update on these HTR+ ive had on for this crappy snowy NYC winter....these things are as good as it gets for anyone wanting an "all year round tire" for their CL-S. Its amazingly sure footed in the ice, snow, rain. I have noticed that the traction is better and car is better planted since I got the Comptech springs/Tires combo happening.

Hmmm, maybe I should get my hands on some HTR+s. I was thinking of dishing out over $200 a tire for the Mich. Pilot A/S 235/45/17, but after reading all these comments on how good these Sumitumos are, maybe I should just save the cash-

NO Brainer-greyjhu. I have them and have 14,000 miles on them. They are better than stock for 1/2 the price.

You get what you pay for with the sumi's The Mich's will be nicer.

If your looking to save money and get about 20k out of a tire the sumi is a decent choice.

I wish I would have purchased more $$ tires myself. The SUMI's have a little better wet traction than the stocks did. But it's nothing to brag about. And the tread wear is not good on them either. Problem with the sumi's is they start our great and then lose their traction/wear quickly. (I have had them on for about a year now)

They do OK in the snow.

One could spend $200 more on the set and get nicer tires. Personally I would prefer a good 40k mile tire. Not a so-so 20k (ish).

Read the reviews on tirerack, make sure to only read the ones which the owers have gone 15k+ on them. There's a lot of low mile reviews on there.

I got them. 235/45/17 on stock rims. I never tried the HTR+ so I cannot compare it to the Conti. However, my previous set was Yoko AVS100 so I will compare the Conti vs. Yoko.

Look: Uglier

Thread wear: 400 vs 280. I have them on for more than 3K and appearantly they havent worn out much.

Traction: worse. probably better than stock but still squeal on hard turns. Spin like crazy on wet pavement.

Installation: Seems like they were hard to balance because my rims have ton of balancing weight now.
