If its alything like the 17's, it is higher than both Acura and the tire manufacturer's recommendations.

I was running my front tires at 32 and rear tires at 34--on the recommendation of the guy who did our walkthrough when I bought the car. At the 30K maintance appointment, I learned that the tires I had in the front had become out of round, most like because of underinflation. At my new dealer's recommendation, I'm running both wheels at 35 PSI.

I also thought that the 32 looked low. I bumped mine up to 35 psi all the way around. The less tire on the road, the better gas mileage you will get. But, don't forget the flip side; the less tire on the road, the less traction.

Not always. In most cases increased pressure will help traction

(Yes, with *more* pressure there is less area contacting the ground when the car is NOT moving.)

Also, lowering the pressure in the rear will help to reduce understeer, by lowering the grip at the rear.

With wintertime, it is a great idea to check and set the tires pressures.

From Tire Rack's "Winter Maintenance Tips" (re: about setting tire pressures, etc):

link: http://www.tirerack.com/winter/tech/maintenance.html

If your car is in a warm garage, set the pressure a bit higher (see link), otherwise, well -- see link...

I'd follow Tirerack suggestions. A little higher than manufacture recomendation will mostly result in a "little" stiffer ride.

I dont get it, tirerack is saying to put higher tire pressure on the rear tires to decrease oversteer, doesn't increase tire pressure means less tire will be in contact with the ground??? Which means less traction??? Oh by the way, what should I do when my back starts sliding, it happens to me alot and I really dont konw what to do, sometimes i just let go of gas and steer, sometimes i just give it more gas, luckily it has worked everytime, but I want to konw what I should really be doing when my back looses control and start sliding.

Back sliding out is oversteer. increase pressure, little less grip on the front end, less oversteer? Or maybe more pressure on the rear tires yields better grip, less oversteer?
