Hi I just got the new 2003 white acura cl type S. I want to get my windows tinted, but I'm not sure what % tint looks the best. I'm a girl so I don't wan that REALLY black tint.. Any advice?

I think VA has strick laws. You may want to check the legal limits first.

The law is 50% fronts windows, 35% rear windows, and 35% rear windshield.

Where in VA are you? If you're from Northern Virginia, I got my tint done at LA Tint in Sterling. The guy did a great job, and the tint was high quality (Formula One tint). If you're interested, their website is www.latint.com ..

You can check out pics of my tint on my website on the link below, I have 38% tint all-around (38% was the closest I could get to 35%). So I'm technically illegal, but cops at the Import Xtreme BBQ that were checking cars for illegal stuff like tint didn't hassle me at all with 38% all around. I think it looks pretty nice, makes the car cooler, and doesn't have that look where cops are going to target you for too dark tint.

BTW- The tint I got was Formula One Ultimate Metallic tint. Haven't noticed any problems with radio reception and/or NAV problems either incase you're curious.

The guy in Sterling has done quite a few TL/CLs from what he told me (and people on acura-tl.com recommended them for the same reason). He did a good job on the dot matrix. There's usually a coupon in the yellow pages for $20 off or 10% off. I think I paid ~$250 for everything, took around 4 hours or so I think.

 

I would get 35% on all windows and 20% on the rear windshield

 

Im actually getting mine today...i am getting mine just over the legal limit because the legal limit is like 20% here its jus stupid!!!!

 

Llumar polarized would look sweet on a white CL. Get that!!!
