Tint ??

When you got your tint done did they:

1) Remove the brake light?
2) Remove the door panels?

I don't mind about the light I'm just leary of the panels rattling after.

p.s. Shawn, I saw your pics where you took out the back seat.

99% of shops WILL not tint behind the breaklight...its a BITCH to get at, yuo have to remove the entire back seat, back console, seat back, parcel shelf, AND finally then you can get at the breaklight, 99% of shops will jstu cut arount it unless you take all that shit out on your own....

also, tinting requires the use of ALOT of water..my front door speakers were FUCKED after i got my car tinted, they were all wet from water seeping behind the door panel...after about 4 hours they went back to sounding normal (after the water dried up) i was really pissed and worried at first but the they seemed to "fix" themselves....

my car got tinted on saturday. both door panels were removed so the glass could be pulled. in the rear the back seat, rear tray, 3rd brakelight and trim pieced were removed. to do a nice job, it should be done this way.

I’ve NEVER heard of doing this.
Did you actually SEE the installer do it or maybe he just told you that to justify his price?

I took the rear seat/shelf area apart myself so the brake light would be covered, but the door panels stayed ON for the tint job.
All they did was push the rubber molding down and told me not to roll down the windows for 3-4 days.
