Timing Belt

I have a 01 CL-S. It has 98,000 miles, almost 8 years. I guess it's almost time to change the belt. I've called 3 dealerships in NJ and they're all about a grand to do the belt, water pump and misc belts.

Does anyone recommend I take it to somewhere other than the dealers to do this ? If so, any recommendations in NJ ?

thanks

Find a local Honda specialist that uses genuine Honda/Acura parts. Should be about $700-750. Don't let the stealership rip you off. Get a new tensioner also. You could also put it off while you hunt for a good shop. I'd say under 125k before you worry, depending on how aggressively you drive.

Carmen's in Cranford NJ (exit 137 on the GSP). They do excellent work - ex-Honda techs.
