Time for negotiation! need help!
Believe it or not! the body shop estimated $26,000 for repairing my crashed baby(half for parts, half for labor)I think the insurance company will just total the car and give me a check.
Anyone have similar experience?
I need some advice here to know how to negotiate with the value of my baby.
Thank in advance!

I thought we where going to negotiate for your part's
Take a look at they're first offer. If it is not enough tell them you think it is worth more and you want them to reevalute it. If they do not do that, tell them you want to consult with your lawyer before you accept theyre settlement.
Did you get my E-mail? My comp shut down on me all weekend. I have a bad habit of erasing files I don't think are necessary.
Also which shop in Santee is it?
Good Luck

I think we need a bit more info on the condition & mileage of the car before the crash to try and put a value on it.
If they total it, the insurance company gets all the parts unless you negotiate otherwise and subtract their value from the payoff.

i'll relate my experience...
i now have a tl-s because my car was considered totalled after a bad accident. someone broadsided me (t-boned!) and i ended up hitting parked cars from the front and rear...only the roof and one panel remained original. frame damage too!
i live in socal and my insurance company is 21st century. they basically took down the age of my car, mileage and general condition before they proceeded to track down similar looking used vehicles on dealer lots. it was a 2000 accord ex v6 coupe so everything from a 98 was examined. they printed out a big list of at least 50 cars from my local and surrounding areas before they figured out a price to pay me. then they added the tax, partial unused reg fee, and what-not for the settlement. totalled april 2001 ~> $24,500 for the car bought back in oct 99 with 19,500 miles. i only paid $26,000 for the car out the door, but it would have been about $1000 less had i not wanted silver. so i made out pretty well. loss money for the interest since i was financing the car.
you might want to ask your adjuster about their practice/methods in such cases so you can prepare and get an idea of what is forthcoming!
good luck!
