Has anyone notice it? or is it only me? There is a ticking noise from the driver side of the engine compartment. The noise was from one of the tubes right above the steering pole. Is this a serious issue or it is normal? thx...

thx.. btw I am not one of the newbies. I did do a search on engine ticking and did found a few threads but none of them mentioned the exact location (above the steer pole, from a tube)of the ticking. so I thought that the other ticking threads might be a different issue..

Thanks.. now I feel tons lighter.. I was thinking to bring my car in to have an adviser check on this issue, but the appointment is the week after next week.

 

I think I did mention it in one of the threads as "under the hood, on the driver side about 12-16" from the side."

btw, all of the above are made up.

 

It is the EVAP Canister Purge valve ticking. Normal but annoying!
