Thud sound from front end since CT drop

I had CT springs installed on factory shocks about 2 months ago 35 k miles. Problem I am having now is that on uneven roads, the bumps on those roads (depending on size) when the front wheels go over the bumps makes this "thud" like noise that almost resembles a loud rattle. I checked to see if I had anything in pen holder and glove box that could be causing, with nothing. The sound almost sound like it is towards the back of the dashboard. This sound only appears over large bumps in the road.
Could this be potential problem?
Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Yeah.. i had that problem too.. so i got rid of my springs...

it's likey the bump stops on your suspension ... since it's so low now, harsh stops will be met by the rubber bump stops and you'll hear that "THUD" ..

It's definitely not good.. did you get brand new springs, or are they used?

Mine were used and pre-settled .. therefore I figured that's why i had that problem.. but ifyours are new, you should send them back to Comptech and let them know what's happening.

I got that thump sound when I go over large pot holes!! Sounds like my dashboard is falling off!

Your shocks could be blow out or your spring could not be set right when the whoever it is installed your setup. Over time shocks wear down on a lowered car and even blow out. You should check your shocks for any leaks.

thanks for the insight...Classy, indeed that is what mine does too, sounds like dashboard going to fall off.
TL, I did get mine used but, the guy told me only about 8-10k mioles on them.
Coco, tried to examine shocks with unsuccessful attempt, have not seen any fluid or anything though. I planned on replacing teh factory shock anyway, but was just trying to get a heads up and see if others have had this problems with the CT springs.

You should trim the bumpstops when lowering the car. You are already reducing the shock piston travel with the drop and to leave the full length rubber in there reduces travel even more. You'll ride on the bumpstop, which is not good. I took about half the length off when I installed my Tein's.

comptech springs are a very light drop, you should not have N-E problem at all unless who ever installed it , installed it wrong, but I never had any problem with my CT springs,

you are getting some WRONG feedback

comptech springs are only a 1/1.25 drop

if there is a thud sound then its defintely an install problem! take the car back to where you had it installed and have them look at it.

there should have to be NO TRIMMING OR MODIFYING bump stops or fender lining at all and no camber issues as well!!!!

Thanks sidemarker and Siggy, I was going to have them look at it anyway, just to make sure they did everything correctly.

sidemarker hit it right on the head... I did my own springs with a friend and we dind't have to trim anything. Make sure they're installed in the righgt direction with the plate that holds the spring in.

Is the CT drop that slight that you don't need to trim the stops? Huh.. guess I've been "spoiled" by the Teins... their directions call for trimming.

I think the noise is his tires are rubbing on a large bump.

By "his" I am assuming you mean mine...That should not be the case though, as the CT drop is not very dramatic.
