Throwing caution into the wind, RJ Design CL Front bumper

Here it goes, gonna make a prototype like this, full front bumper out of high quality AVS Plastic, which is the same material as the OEM bumper.
So after i make my car with this bumper, i will consider making a run of 25. Sides and rear are doubt full, you can alwasy use the Versus sides and rear, but if demand is even half of what it was for the TL, i'll do it. Pricing for the front bumper is the same as the TL kit found here: http://www.ronjonwheels.com/tlkit.html

I'm not really feeling the lines going from the upper grille but everything else looks ok, i liked the first design better

Awesome, so $810 painted, plus $90 shipping? How much modifications is it going to need to get mounted on my car? I have to make an ins claim because I hit a re-tread and the paint is chipped/cracked, so I might as well make it look nicer. Any way you could PS this onto my car, with no side sills or rear lip? Do you think that would look stupid?

i agree with notcreative, if you take away the lines and have a solid top portion of the front bumper, i think it would look better...overall, i like the design and the concept of having a full bumper vs. a add on lip...both version look sweet either way...good stuff Ron

i did a quick photoshop of what the kit would look like if the horizontal bar in the middle was painted black and if more of the bumper was painted body color around the fog lights. also, i smoothed out the lines in the middle of the bumper. (i painted it like my car just to get a feel for what it would look like... =) ) overall i think it loooks better like this...
what do you think ronjon?

Looks good but i dont like that indentation on the side, it interupts the smoothness.

ronjon...so is this kit going to utilize the tsx foglights for sure? Are we going to have to buy them ourselves? Just curious. The more i like at this kit the more i am so glad you decided to do this instead of a full lip kit.

I'd like to see the lip design in the full bumper with a gill or two added. I'm glad to see a full bumper being considered though.

RJ, if you made this full front bumper, you souldn't be making the sides and rear kits? I really like the potential rear you have on the site.

I like it, but what about the fog lights? Are the sock road lamps going to fit?

Jeez, I forgot about that one, but it is kinda dificult to turn into a reality without becoming way off the original design. I will finalize a design and start this month, sorry for the delay, but I want to make certain that it is as good as it can be before dumping all the tooling cost into it.

I find the lip kit better still...But, I think there may be a market for the second one too for those who want something more subtle, maybe?

Everyone should be all over this kit.... especially considering its striking similarity to the SEMA kit that everyone was asking for a while back.

All anyone was asking for was for the kit to be made of a quality material. Now you have ronjon making a kit that won't get any closer to to the sema kit. If I'm understanding correctly..... If as many people get involved that were asking about the sema kit way back, then I'm sure we can get side skirts and a rear bumper/lip in addition to this beautiful front bumper. C'mon guys, don't let another one fall through

As for me.... where do I sign up?

I suppose you didn't get nearly the response (deposits) you were looking for on the first design. The new design looks good... full bumper replacements are great. I wish you luck.

first of all, i have alot of respect for you ron for creating a kit for the cl. it looks good. the only thing that i think should be changed are the sides of the bumper. unless you are going to develop side skirts and a rear bumper that matches this front, i think the sides of the front should be a little more blocky to match the versus sides and rear. i hope that made sense. but yea, great job. im really loving the forged rims too. there hot

Honestly, Ron, if you make something that resembles the SEMA kit's sides & rears, I'd stick a huge turd in the front and drive it anyhow.
