I am definetly doing a kit for the CL, but like some have said, i haven't gotten the response I was expecting. The TL guys made the TL kit happen easilly, and I'm not tryin to guilt anybody into supporting this project. more than anything, i want to put a Hot kit on my personal car and also share it with the Acurazine members. I feel like I can't produce a kit unless everybody is like "OH MY GOD, THATS AWESOME!", so until I get that kind of work done, I'm gonna keep designing. i just hope I don't remain designing and not producing for too long, i mean the CL's design is almost 6 years old already.

I think its grown on me I would rock that on my car, I would love to have the sides and rear as well from the lip kit as I'm not a huge fan of the versus. I'm sure when you finally do decide on what design to go with, it will be hot, as I have faith in your creativity.

you did get that kind of response with this design, http://www.acura-cl.com/forums/showt...ghlight=ronjon , top of page - clkit5 - if you make that kit i would buy it in a heartbeat. please make that kit for me and us at AZ. dont waste all of the time spent on designing that kit and make it happen, thanks ron

at first i liked the lip kit more, but honestly i believe more people will be happy with this kit. Its a full bumper kit with subtle similarities to the sema kit that everyone is OMG about. Also, it allows the use of oem fog lights which is also a plus. The more I look at it, the more i'm loving the full bumper

Damn, that's nice. Too bad this is my first time seeing those conceptual kits.

Anyways, Hi Rondy...If you were to continue with either one of these two designs, you have gained my business. I'll even put down a full deposit or prepay the full amount for one of these front kits. Unfortunately, I'm relatively new to this site so I was unaware that the above kits were in the works until I saw this post. I would have definitely supported you in a purchase on my end. Let me know if either one of this kit happens. My hard earn money will definitely go to it. As for this new design you did, I'm just not feeling it. Sorry! Please make every effort to revert back to above kit or do something similar.

i think you have the right idea, but like someone said, it doesnt say cl to me, almost too subtle, it needs some flare, like your original designs posted above and your tl kit, it has some personality with the lines/flares on the corners, i know you can do it, and produce the full kit, you will have my money, i dont like anythign else out, id love to do the tl kit but its too much money and work, i know i said i didnt want to unless i see the product, but you've enticed me too much with the full bumper, and looking at the tl kit, i think you can come up with something, it must be hard to mesh all the reactions and ideas that people have here

I've looked at it off and on for a few days and it still doesn't do much for me. I just don't care for the lower area with the fogs. Some of your earlier conceptual designs were captivating, but sorry to say, this one hasn't hooked me.

I have been following your progress on this kit for some time now...The new design is nice, but as you said I am not giddy enough to plop down 1600 bucks yet. I am honestly not totally feeling the new look. Mostly I am not liking the rounded look...and the fog light area just seems out of place. I am really looking forward to what is coming next...

I have to say this...I like it as a concept, but I'm not sure I'd like it as an everyday sorta thing. I'll admit that I'm not a kit guy, so it'd be hard to sway me anyway, but when I see "IT" I know it. For the CL/TL I think classy/subtle/fluid...Bruce Lee if you will. Unassuming outward appearance, dangerous when provoked. I definitely think you are talented but I'd personally be more impressed if it was something like a factory tuner. Think AMG Mercedes or the M3 as compared to the 330ci or the Volvo S60R as compared to the S60. Ron, I hope you understand where I'm coming from. Think about the mods most of us do, Shaved emblems, Lip Spoiler as opposed to Factory, RonJon grill, Comptech Products as opposed to Bubba's GoFast Gear. It all points towards that clean look. So to ME, that's where your success will lie. We are no longer in Civic territory. (No offense to Civic fans/owners)

This is the One I like. I cant describe it really. Just looks I love it.

This one looks too Boxy at the front. Kinda like a Bottle Nose Dolphin or something I dunno. It doesnt tickle my fancy.

Very nice, but i think you need to pull the bottom forward a little bit. It takes away from the lines of the CL to have it drop of so smoothly, it needs to come forward a bit.

looking back at it, the top kit, i know its only a lip kit up front, looks better to me.

just the fact that there would be a full kit instead of the bumper its self.

I think I got it, clean extension of the stock bumper, front side and rear add on lips for lower cost than a full replacment kit, and polyurethane for quality fitment.
If this isn't it, i don't know what is (mods, please update thread title with, "updated image on pg x):

I think it's a pretty nice.......I personally don't like the V-cut on side and I think the mouth could be a litlle bit bigger aswell......room for an intercooler maybe!

inregards to the full bumper....

the lip looks good!

The lip looks nice and clean. I hope you get enough orders and support to get this rolling. However, its not really for me.

Unfortunately, I'm personally more attached to the full bumper replacement that you design sometime ago. Go figure...That's where my money would have definitely gone into. If you do ever decide to pursue something similar to that full bumper, let me know...I'll be in for sure. Good luck with the endeavor nonetheless.

No offence, but the amount of people that have said that on this site is sickening. Everyone wants a kit, yet no one ever is willing to put up the money, even when its to a trusted vendor. Look at how quickly the TL kit got done. Its because they had almost all the spots filled before the car was even at the place to get the project started.

Not saying that you personally won't buy the kit, just saying what has happened in the past, and I just laugh everytime someone bithces and moans about our choice of body kits.

I really like the add on lip. Nice and clean. Looks like I'm going to have to get my bumper repaired and repainted after all Darn you for not making the full replacement...

Kidding, just kidding. I really like this (hopefully) finalized design.

I gotta agree with ya there buddy. I love RonJon products... I just can't justify the cash for a body kit (no matter what the design or price for that matter).

They look great and once the RonJon brand expands he's going to be very successful.

Forgot to ask, but Ron, what will you be using for the back and sides of the kit? Is it what you currently have on the website?

If so, could you tell me how big the exhaust cut outs are on the back kit? Cause I have the Apex'i RS's, and the canisters and tips are pretty huge.

Was that directed towards me?? Coming from you I understand, since you are more into the sleeper, all go/less show type of car. But some other people, well thats a different story.

Rest asured the exhaust cut-outs will be big enough to accomadate large exhausts. He has the HKS Supper Draggers which are pretty huge, so it will have to at least accomadate those.

I think my RS's are about the same size as the Super Draggers. I saw 'em side by side though, and the only difference was that my tips stick out more. I'm pretty sure the canister is larger as well.

it was

If my car was designed for different purposes I would be all over RonJon products. But there isn't any lightweight rims in his inventory (yet) and a body kit just isn't for me. Maybe the front lip but I'm not 100% I even wanna go that route. I will probably pick up the RonJon grille though for the new car.

Nice goin Ron, again I'm down for this kit too. Are you changing anything about the groupbuy pricing or terms or anything? Where do I sign up?

Also, are the sides and rear going to be the same as what you had posted before?

Once I get pricing finalized with my supplier, I will start to take pre orders with certainty. Otherwise the pricing on this page of the ronjonwheels.com website will be what we work with.
*Now, for the first 20 kits there will be an Acurazine discount to help jumpstart it knowing that the CL is discontinued and all.
I mean, i don't want to sound like we are desperate and all, I mean we can fund the whole thing ourselves, but i just want to have a little confidence going in to the whole thing knowing that something will come out of it. I too have a CL and am dying to put a kit on it. so "IFA" you are interested in it, just let me know, I might even discontinue it after the first run just to maintain exclusivity for those who participated in the GB.

From full bumper to lip kit, to full bumper, back to lip kit. You lost me again. I'm still looking for the full bumper to be considered. You had me excited for a few days there though, guess this was just for marketing. I was hoping you'd have play'd around with your full bumper design.

*
Apply the look of your lip kit to a full bumper design, add a GILL or two and see what people think. until then, i'm out. generally like the work you've done, the TL kit is awesome.

In one week or so I will finalize my cost on the whole project, then i will start a GB on the kit, simialer to the old one, but we will def start production this time since the TL kit is finished. and yes, It will be a limited production run, once the first 25-30 kits are done, thats it.
