Throttle problem!!

I am experiencing throttle problem with my car. I have been driving this car for two years and I am very familiar with the throttle.

Recently I am having trouble stepping on gas from stop. I tap the pedal as usual and the pedal feels like it is stuck or something, and i will have to tap harder and my car will accelerate hard out because I step too much.

I thought its the air filter but nope, wat other problems could it be?

FYI, I did change my transmission recently. I am going to try seafoam soon

How many mileage on the car?
have you changed your plugs?
Have you taken a look at the throttle body? it could be dirty.
Does it stutter?

When you seafoam, you should also clean out the throttle body entry way and its butterfly valve.

When you say you changed the transmission, what does that mean?
A different one?
A shop did it?

Yep. If not cleaned & with high miles a ring can form around the TB plate. Causing the plate to stick.

I had this same problem. When I had my timing belt changed, they said my throttle body needed cleaning(I didn't tell them about the throttle sticking). After reading this I realized that the throttle hasn't stuck since then. So, I'm going with TB too.
