Ok, coming to work, saw a new maxima SE, we both just got on the highway so we are doing about 50 i say, i looked at him just to see his car(i like looking at new cars with new sticker license), well he thought i wanted to race, he takes off so i decided to try and play with him, thinking that I would loose since his has 255hp. I droped to 2nd and floored it till red then pushed it to 3rd and passed him about 4 seconds later at about 78-79, it was a surpise to me, i never thought i would beat that car. I stoped when i was about 6 car spaces in front of him, going about 125 at 4th gear, flashed my hazard lights to signal the win. He must of had an auto cause I dont think i can beat the new maximas and probably would get killed by a stick unless he cant drive. I dunno if I was just lucky or he just couldnt drive or I underestimated my car. I was surpised that it went from 55 to about 79 within 4 seconds. Later I timed from 55 to 79-80, if i leave it in auto it does it in 7-8 seconds but if i leave it in SS and red 2nd and go onto 3rd it does it in 4-5 secs. I was like COOL!!!

 

GLE I mean, not SE, haha the new SE 6 speed is incrediable. I dont think I can even keep up with that one.

 

Someone posted a 1/4 mile slip on maxima.org, his 02 stock GLE ran 14.734.
Imagine what a 6-speed can do.

 

They are pretty quick...not to mention lighter....
I had a chance to sit along side a friend of mine that just bought the SE and it corners pretty good....

the quietness, comfort, looks, interior looks....I'm still glad I got my CL-S with navi

hehe time to go to the dealer for a test drive. The one thing i dont like about the new nissans are their big logo in front now.

 

Yeah, I don't like the exterior that much.

 

yeah the LOGO sucks , its TOO big , the CL is meaner looking tho, I think thats the guy I raced, at the track. I posted earlier about this, I got to drive his car, It was pretty quick with no effort.
I have new found respect for the 2k2's even the AUTO, which i raced.
