Exclamation To those of you with cold air intakes...

My car over heated tonight because of the coolant hose on my CAI. Check and make sure yours isn't cracked like mine was. It spewed out all of my coolant, but luckily got it fixed.

Wow, that sucks bro.
Read about what happened. That was messed up of that cop to not even stop and see what's up.
At least you got it fixed and everything's alright now.

I have a bypass for that hose. It's no longer connected to the TB. Thermoblok gives you 1 with their spacer kit.

I have a AEM V2 intake, but I used the stock hoses, I have had the intake for over 10,000 miles with no problems, should I be worried?

Just check your coolant line routinely and make sure that is is not cracked. I don't think you will have a problem. I've had mine for 2,000 miles.

did you use the hoses that came with it or the stock ones?

The ones that came with it. I went to the parts house and replaced them. After that I drained all of the water out of the radiator and filled it with Prestone 50/50 coolant. It's running like a champ now.
