For Those With V-afc
For Those With V-afc
sometimes....................my v-afc will have the throttle goin up to like 1% when im not even pressin it. sometimes it will just go away and stay at 0%.
i have this on my 2002 tl-s. what do u think it is?? u think its cause its automatic???????
when the throttle goes up and down 1%, if i floor the throttle, it says ..........100%,99.9%,100%,99.9%,100% back and forth...it doesnt stay on 100%

i don't have a v-afc yet, but to me it sounds normal.
even if you aren't giving the car any throttle, the engine at idle is still staggering and not staying fixed at let's say 750rpm. it may be +/- 50 rpm sometimes more or sometimes less. so the v-afc may be interpreting that as 1%. But i may be wrong, that's my guess.
And at full throttle it may be staggering between 100% and 99.9% because our car's a fly by wire setup. And the voltage reading may not always be exactly the same even at full throttle. it may just be a tiny bit off, but enough for it to cause a .1% difference in the v-afc.
I may be way off on both of these, so anyone else care to correct me go right ahead!!!! i want to know how these things work too.
But this is my best educated guess.
hope this helps.
