V-AFC relocation pictures...

I decided to get started on installing my V-AFC back in my car since I had to take it out for my 7500 mile checkup. I kinda stole Tanns install idea but I didn't want to cut the suglass holder so this is what I came up with.

This was how Tann had his installed...

http://www.acura-tl.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/005005.html

http://www.acura-tl.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/005191.html

Notice that he states that the V-AFC had to be mounted as high as possible for it to close. I didn't see a point in cutting it if I could get to all the buttons.

I am going to wait till I get my headers and pulleys installed which should be in the next month or so. I should also be getting my exhaust next week which I will be installing myself. For now I am just going to have it monitor things and not send anything to the ECU. If I can figure out which wires control the Vtec then I will go ahead and plug those in also.

After seeing CL-Supers and hearing it I had to get them. I live the stainless steel look.

I figure I will wait to see how I feel after having them on there. I think I am going to stick with the comptech tips though. They look really sweet.

Hey Web,
Once you figure out how to install the V-AFC and have some positive horsepower gains, I would appreciate some assistance on installing one on my Type-S...I'll help you with your bumper and lights whenever you're ready .....By the way...you're gonna love that exhaust but every dang rice-boy and domestic V-8 who hears it will want to race...you'll notice a big difference in challenges

I know how to install it, I had it installed before but had to take it out because of my 7500 mile checkup. But ya that sounds like a great trade out. Let me know when you have time to clear lights because I am game to go ;-)

I need to get it tuned. As of now I am only using it for monitoring and controlling Vtec. I will be getting it tuned soon so after I do that I will post my dyno.

How about some time the week after? That way it will give you time to get your light in and I can help you put yours in as well. I have some people coming in from out of town this weekend so I kinda will be on a weird schedule.

Its not a plug and play mod so unless you know what your getting into I would read up on it before you buy one.
