how to remove calipers ? easy ?

How easy is it to remove calipers on the CL-S . I have done it before on an older dodge but this one looks different to remove. Any advice. I want to paint them this weekend .
Thanks

jack up one side of your car, remove the lug nuts then the wheel, then look behind the caliper and you'll see two bolts that hold it on (i think they are size 17mm), and just unbolt it

it's very easy. the brake pads basically just pop out. the caliper will be connected to the brake line so it will just hang there, so you'll have to support it somehow in order to paint it

So is that the same for a 1st gen, just a couple of bolts?

I'm thinking of putting on new rotors very soon and was worried about getting the calipers off.

The more knowledge the better...thanks

Don't forget you will probably need to recompress the cylinders to get them back on. You can pick up a caliper compressor at the auto parts store for a few dollars, or use a piece of wood and a C-Clamp.

Then again, provided they came off after unbolting them easy enough, they may go on ok without compression. New pads will definitly need compression.

Can't you just change the pads without removing the caliper?
