those with Navi will you buy it again?
if this is your first car with an OEM navi would you buy another car with or without it?
i know i use my navi maybe once a month unless i go out of town, then i becomes very very useful. I dont think i could purchase another car without one.
so anyone regret getting the navi?

Navi is a definite must. It has helped me out on various occasions and is better than getting directions from somebody or on the internet. Very Very useful tool. My next car will definitely have one.

Definately can't go wrong with the Navi. i find mine most useful in traffic for finding good neighborhood cut throughs, which save a whole lot of time. i would get the navi again in a heartbeat and recomend it to anyone

It comes in handy from time to time...but I'm still not happy with the update they released. If I miss a turn in downtown during rush hour (in HOUSTON) I will still pass the next turn it will calculate before it finishes calculating it... extremely annoying.

If OEM Navi is an option, then my next car will have it. I have no regrets about the system and use it all the time.
I think of the heated seats the same way. If I have my choices, I'd never get another car again without butt warmers or navigation.

Navi is first on the list of "must haves" in ALL of my future cars (exotic exempt), along with:
HID lighting
heated and cooled seats
Heated side mirrors
Pine Tree air freshener
Traction control/AWD

True funny story….
I’ve been to this little stereo shop in Somerville NJ about four times in the last two months.
It’s like an hour away from my house and I don’t know the area at all.
I plugged in the phone number and it took me right to their front door.
It’s now programmed into my “previous destinations” in the NAVI system.
My one friend called me the other day at work and was asking for directions to get there.
I’m like …UM….WELL… I don’t know.
He’s like…what do you mean you don’t know.
If I were driving myself without the NAVI I could probably find the way, but I have no idea what the street names are off hand to tell someone.
It’s right off the highway, but there are several twists & turns before you get there and I had no idea what they were called.

Me- "I dont know how to get there" ...
Friend- "What do you mean you dont know how to get there? You were just there yesterday!"
Me- "My car told me the way"
Friend- "You suck"
I've unfortunately come to depend on the NAVI so much that I can't live without it. Definitely a MUST for my next car. If for some reason its not OEM, then I'm gonna be adding it on. One way or another my next car will have it!
Driving in the S2000 is difficult now because I never know where I'm going
BTW- Some cars have auto-updating NAVI that receives upgrades via cellular or satellite (not sure which), but you have to pay a monthly fee to keep the NAVI updated. I think my old co-worker who has a Lincoln Navigator has it in there. He said he pays like $40 or $50 a month to keep it updated... WTF!?!

I Love my Navi, but i dun really use it so often either.......... The most useful time for the Navi is when you drive out of town and stuff........ so if i buy like a 4 dr, SUV or minivan then i will down for a navi....... coz i never really drive the CL outa town tho........since it's a 2 dr n the bak is not really roomy
so for me
2 dr navi---maybe
4dr navi-----4 sure

One thing about the Navi, you will find yourself yelling at your friends over the phone. For instance:
Me: He man, I'm gonna stop thru. What is your address?
Friend: Where are you coming from?
Me: What is your address, I don't need directions.
Friend: But what way are you coming from?
Me: Dammit, I have navigation I don't need directions, I just need your damn address!
Friend: It's 8900 Whatever RD
Me: How do you spell the street name?
Friend: W H A T E V E R
Me: What's the number again?
Friend: "Sigh" Its 8 9 0 0
Me: Okay I'm on my way
And for some reason the person still feels the need to give me directions!

ever think that instead you can get an aftermarket Navi System with North America Maps, and that also does DVD Movies and stuff for like the same price or less thats motorized touchscreen, with voice command, and directories? for example the Pioneer AVIC-N1

Abso*******lutely I would buy it again! I just used it on a 550 mile jaunt to Wausau, Wi (and I got there as GWB arrived, what a mess, but that is another story.)
Not to make your question sound dumb, when you got your first car with power windows, did you yearn to go back to crank ups? Or A/C? Or heated seats? No, you didn't, I'll answer for you.
The issue here is the extra 2 Large, vs. utility. I travel by car a lot, so for me it is a no brainer. The best way I can explain it is we are all here because we like our cars, and we like our computers. Now, consider if you could combine both in the car!
Also, I read an article in the newspaper about a year ago, predicting navi's will become basically standard equipment by model year 2008 on all but the sparcest of cars.
