thinking of 2001 cl type s

I was thinking of getting a used one. Any reviews about the car? The one that is available does not have a rear spoiler, can i get one for less that 500 installed?

thanks

Love the car...You can certainly get one for less than 500 installed...I would actually recommend getting the M5 spoiler installed which looks very niie and sleek

you can probably get it for around 500.. might be closer to 700 but you'll be happy.. beautiful, awesome, fun, sporty, young, affordable, reliable car for the money..

dont sweat the tranny worries.. 100k warranty and acura is taking care of it.. it's a hot car and is still fairly exclusive on the roads.. enjoy!

Due to design issues, the tranny has a short life span... check out the tranny fourm.

Btw, there's also aftermarket tranny kits for us now...

Where in Boston are you? Are you thinking of one from a dealer? If so, which dealer?

Well, $500 installed will be very tough.... we sell the spoiler for $500 shipped, which, if you shop around, is a low price. Like someone mentioned above, you can do the M5 spoiler for a lot less. I actually have it on my car and I love it. Oh yeah, we sell those too

As for the CL... go for it.. you'll love it. The CL/TL models have had some tranny issues, but just make sure that when you buy it you get the 7yr/100k powertrain warranty transferred to you and you'll be all set. Enjoy!!

Hardly. Just wanted to see which dealer, so some others on here could give an opinion of the service an' all.

no, the S is not for a supercharger. its for the 'sport' or 'speed' package....better wheels, suspension, intake, exhaust, perforated leather. 260 hp instead of 220 or so in the regular version I think.

you can add a supercharger though for around 5 grand.

225hp in the "regular" or "premium" CL.. but everything else is dead on

how much of a difference is in the type s exhaust, i thought the power came from the different intake manifold.

exhaust = less restrictive I believe...not sure if it really enhances power at all or anything. Has a better sound I think though.
