THEY DO MAKE A CHEAP INTAKE FOR OUR CARz

was cruising Ebay just now and stumbled across this intake.

WAY CHEAPER than anything available and appears to have all the necessary pieces also!

ONLY fits the CL-P sorry fellas :-(

http://cgi.ebay.ca/01-03-ACURA-TL-CL...item2eaac4bd6c

HOPEFULLY THIS HELPS you low budget boyz out who wanna join the CAI club

I have to say that a CAI made the j32a2 sing! It it one of the best sounding import engines I've ever heard. That was the reason I left the exhaust alone.

I got one of ebay, just like that one. Worked great. Fittment was ok.

Thats pretty impressive, Thanks

The only thing that would be different about the ebay intake would be how the pipe is bent, if its kinked or not and how sutle the bends are

the only thing there is to worry about is if the intake came apart and sucked a piece in and I dont see that happening

Thats what I did (all go, no show, Plus Im cheap) the thing is you get more power from one where the curves arent as abrupt and is smoother on the inside, Im probably going to change mine eventually but it works well for now !

yea I DO want the P2R one just cause it's P2R and I love them. BUT for the $ it's completely pointless... and honestly I Like having different brands to mod the car for some reason. the more brands the better :-)

i'd go with an ebay CAI as long as you dont care about brand name or 1-2hp.

the ebay CAI's would be the best bang for buck for sure

probably a bit....

ebay CAI is like 50-75.

AEM is like over 200 plus shipping.

I think there MAY be one in the BM right now actually I would go take a look and jump on that if I were you.

But if ur buying new, go EBAY and save urself some $$$

I bought a misrepresented on off ebay for the CL-P whereas I have a CL-S. It didn't quite make it to the throttle body. I just used the stock piece from the TB and cut the tube to match. It isn't perfect but the previous owner had just stuck a K&N filter into that stock rubber piece so its better now. Probably going to convert to a short ram intake soon.

Before:

CL-P CAI on CL-S:

Now: (Better than what I was working with!)

removing the resonator sounds good but doesn't add hp really so it's pointless imho.

and don't go short ram! they don't help top end.

I've seen a study that showed u actually lose a .1 on a 1/4 mile vs stock intake set-up. granted it was a different car, but u get the point. Short ram isn't really worth it.

cause I fell in love with comptech ever since I got my headers..

doesn't look the BEST, but it performs the best, and isn't that loud like the aem or injen, and u don't have to be worried about water (some people are paranoid)

Isn't the icebox discontinued? If it isn't who sells them?
