Is there any way to turn down the stock sub?

The bass on that thing is very loud and not super-crisp. If there's a knob somewhere behind a seat or something that I could use to turn down the overall level of the sub without affecting the bass coming from the other speakers, that'd be great. Thanks for your replies.

Actually, it's a TL (check the name). But yeah, it's just kind of overpowering to the rest of the system, IMO, and I'd like to turn it down if there's a way to do so.

Oops...sorry....I think all you can do is turn down the bass on the head unit in a TL.

Hmm...that's what I was afraid of. I wonder if there's any other way to affect the level coming from that unit without tearing something up to do it...

Probably not, unfortunately. You could pull the head out of the dash and probably unplug the sub from the back of the unit if you aren't crazy about the bass.

I don't want to turn it off altogether, so I guess I'll just have to 'learn' to love it.

Or just reach in the trunk and unplug it.
