test drive: check. time to buy.

so i got my ass down to santa monica acura, which is the only lot in los angeles with a cl-s MT right now, and test drove the hell out of it. it not the right color and it dosent have nav, but ill find the right one eventually.

i gotta say its a huge jump from my 97 2.2 cl. part of me was hoping that i wouldnt like it and that my obsession with the cl-s' would be over, but i did love it. the clutch is a bit different, its got that hydraulic feel. and man its a powerful car. i fucking love it.

so now that test drive is done the real hunt begins and ive got to find the specific type s i want. my friend's sister works as a buyer for a car lot so shes letting me use the manheim auto auction website to get one wholesale... its like looking for a needle in a haystack. its cool tho... very soon ill have a grey 6mt nav cl type s.

you won't be disappointed. it'll take you a while to find the right one, but it's worth the wait!

good luck!

If you buy from Santa Monica Acura, make sure you look over the car in every way possible. They like not including shit like manuals, radio codes, and correct floor mats (I have 3.2 TL written on mine)

Hope you find the color you want. I first bought a white/tan 6MT and then decided I liked the car so much and wanted a better color and loaded, so I got the anthracite/black with Navi. Great car, I think it has plenty of power.

yeah ive seen tons in sliver, but the anthracite is such a nice color. and as far as the power goes... my frame of reference is from a 2.2 4banger so going to a 3.2 tuned v6.... VERY NICE.

Mine's an old story to many here, I got mine off autotrader in OK, I'm in TX.
I liked the anthracite also because it was only offered in 03. and the black/silver interior is so much better looking than the tan/fake wood IMO.

I'm at 41k miles but my warranty is up in 20 days, may get an extended warranty, since there is not a new A coupe.

just so you know... the sales guy at the dealership was all talkative about the "tsx coupe and coupe convertable" coming soon. take that for about as far as you can chuck it tho... haha.

tell him you'll be back when it's offered in a 6 cylinder.

We had a kid show up at the MA meet with an anthracite non-navi 6spd. 33K miles for $16.5K. Seemed like a nice car for the price. I'm really starting to like that color the more I see of it, but it is really rare...
