I decided to try the TL 6MT shift knob on my CL. I had the TSX 6MT on there. The TL knob has the fitting for the boot clip which I like but the knob sits higher than the smaller TSX knob did.
I know someone cut their shaft in the middle and rewelded to lower the knob position, but I was wondering if I could just cut some of the top of the shaft off, and then have some of the thread redone if needed.

(The TSX knob is very high quality & materials compared to the TL knob, and is much heavier. I can see why Honda thinks the TSX (and S2000) knobs are worth $110!?

 

Why not set up a day with Don and friends and do an "HTown Shifter Mod" to yours?
