Tell me about your CLS...
Curious if any one else has a 2003 CL Type S, 6 spd. San Marino Red, Ebony interior with navi. They say mine is 1 of 25. Just looking for my twins out there. ![Wish](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/wish.gif)

Can't remember if GreenMonster's has Navi or not, but it's a SMR/Ivory 6mt.
Oh yeah, and, wrong section.

COME AT ME BRO!
I had on 01 cla auto Agean Blue Pearl and less than 100k miles and 6 trans replacements/ fixs later I sold that POS. NEVER AGAIN! it soured my whole outlook on Acura. The only Acura I would ever own again would be a 98 or 200 Type R..

I had no idea how rare it was when I got it. I just liked the whole 6 spd and thought it might get better fuel economy than my Jeep sitting on 35's.

I am sure it won't matter now, but it is still cool to not have to see one on every corner like the TL. Not knocking the TL .... My wife has one. And at some point the rarity WILL show on the price as time passes. Maybe not now but 20 years from now.

I think it is how most of us drive our CL's.
I agree that it is a common problem related to too much HP in front of the transmission. The auto guys should be able to pound on their's just like we can and it hold up.

If you had a transmission go out that often, even if its covered by a warranty, it becomes an inconvenience being without your car for a few days each time. And once youre out of warranty, what happens? I think he made a good choice ditching it.

Look at it from another angle though.

But also.. If you blow six trans it is either you or a crap build.
